C4E will participate in Ride Planet Earth Project, not only the cycling event on 6 December, but will organize frequent cycling events from now till December this year. Below are the first two cycling events C4E is organizing with some partners in Vietnam.
2009 Trans-viet Cycling 29 June – 5 Agust (http://xuyenviet.c4evn.org/)
On June 29, trans-Vietnam cycling tour began in Botanical Garden in Hanoi and will finish in HCM City on August 5. The journey is more than 2000 km with the participation of 60 volunteers in which there are 15 old people.
The tour aims to enhance communications and encourage communities to get involved in environmental protection, especially the protection of forests and wild animals, and to join hands to prevent climate change.
The tour is being jointly hosted by the Cycling for Environment Club (C4E), the Vietnam Association for Nature and Environment Protection and the Centre for Youth Activities of Thua Thien-Hue province.
Ho Chi Minh – Cu Chi Cycling tour 25- 26 July
Distance: Ho Chi Minh – Cu chi: 78 km
Intended hours of cycling: 5 hour/ way

Number of volunteers will participate the event: 20 -30 volunteers
Aim of tour:
- To raise public awareness of environment protection.
- Celebrate 1 year of operatiing of C4EHCM
- Visit the Cu chi Tunnels- the incredible network built by Vietnamese guerrilas as place to live and fight against US army.
- Visit the Wild Animal Rescue Center in Cu Chi
