BREAK: Launch of the electric brand Hero Vida; Launch of the scooter on July 1

Just as we’ve been telling you for months, Hero MotoCorp has launched its new electrical division called Vida. The sub-brand will focus solely on e-mobility solutions with the first product, which will likely be the same e-scooter featured during the company’s 10th anniversary celebrations, launching on July 1. Deliveries for the same will begin a few months after the launch.

While we hoped the launch of the e-scooter would take place this month, the launch in July will benefit Vida because by then there would be enough charging stations installed at Bharat Petroleum pumps in most big cities. Expect an aggressive price for the next e-scooter closer to the Rs 1 lakh mark or even lower.

In line with the relentless pursuit of its vision – Be the Future of Mobility – Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest motorcycle and scooter manufacturer, has unveiled Vida, Powered by Hero, an all-new identity for its emerging mobility solutions, including future electric vehicles. (EV).

Featuring Vida, Powered by Hero at a one-of-a-kind Carbon Neutral event on the exclusive Clarence Island in Dubai on Thursday evening (March 3), Dr. Pawan Munjal, Chairman and CEO of Hero MotoCorp, also announced $100 Million Global Sustainability Fund. The fund will aim to establish global partnerships, led by BML Munjal University (BMU) and Hero MotoCorp, with the aim of nurturing over 10,000 entrepreneurs on ESG solutions that positively impact the planet.

With a focus on sustainability and the vision of a thriving and meaningful world for future generations, Dr. Munjal highlighted targeted action points to bring his vision to life at the event.

Unveiling Vida’s new brand logo and ‘sunrise’ visual identity, Powered by Hero, Dr. Pawan Munjal said, “Vida means life, and the sole purpose of the brand is to create a positive impact on the world and move us all forward in meaningful ways. manners. Vida, Powered by Hero will be the brand under which Hero MotoCorp’s initiatives for emerging mobility solutions will be introduced, the first of which will be an electric vehicle to be officially unveiled on July 1, 2022, to coincide with Dr. Brijmohan Lall, legendary Chairman Emeritus of Hero MotoCorp.

Production of the new Vida model will take place at Hero MotoCorp’s ‘green’ manufacturing facility in Chittoor, India. Customer shipments will begin later in 2022.
