If you are looking for a unique and original evening this weekend, look no further.

Howes Cycles (now The Old Bike Shop) was popular with locals as we all know Cambridge locals love to ride bikes.

It is therefore understandable that the city was devastated when in 2013 Cambridge’s much-loved institution closed its doors after 173 years in business.

Now the bike shop has been completely revamped and is a quirky bar and restaurant you can visit.

Saddles and handlebars have been cleverly designed as wall art and everywhere you look bike parts have been transformed into ornaments or table lamps.

What is on the menu?

The food at The Old Bike Shop is just as original as the place itself.

The menu offers a wide selection of dishes for everyone, including vegans and vegetarians.

They are filled with vegetarian and vegan options and might appeal to even the most die-hard carnivores.

They are open for brunch, lunch, dinner and also offer a buffet.

They have an extensive wine list with lots of gin and lagers.

What events do they have coming up?

The Old Bicycle Shop is hosting additional special events.

On Mother’s Day, they celebrate mums with a glass of sparkling wine and an added touch of sweetness; as well as all the delicious food and drinks, you can pre-book flowers to wait on the table.

On Earth Day, they will support the event by going paperless and low energy day. This means there will be no menu printing, bills will be given via their app, the bar and restaurant will be lit by candlelight in the evening.
