Employee’s Apple Watch is stolen in Haven

A Haven Middle School employee left her Apple Watch unattended on a charger, and it was stolen. This among the stories in Monday’s Daily Crime Report from Evanston Police.
FLIGHT
2400 Grasslands
A 45-year-old employee of Haven Middle School in the 2400 block of Prairie Avenue lost her watch when it was left unattended on a charger at school around 7:45 p.m. Friday.

700 main
A 51-year-old man told police three checks he mailed were missing after the mailbox outside the 700 block Main Street post office, where he said he dropped them off, was ransacked between the February 6 and March 1.

1500 Green Leaf
Some documents that were removed from an office of a company in the 1500 block of Greenleaf Street on or about February 21 have been reported missing and believed to be stolen.

1000 Darrow
A 2010 Volkswagen was stolen from the 1000 block of Darrow Avenue between 9:30 p.m. Saturday and 2:04 p.m. Sunday.

1700 Chicago
A bike that was locked to a bike rack in the 1700 block of Chicago Avenue was stolen between 4 p.m. Friday and noon Sunday.

2000 Brown
Some parts were removed from a 2003 Jeep in the 2000 block of Brown Avenue around 4:19 p.m. Monday.

2000 Howard
Alcoholic products were stolen from the Jewel-Osco grocery store in the 2000 block of Howard Street around 1:48 a.m. Sunday.

600 Chicago
General merchandise was taken from the Walgreens drugstore in the 600 block of Chicago Avenue around 8:45 a.m. Friday.

BATTERY
1813 Leland
Jose G. Morales, 39, of 1420 Central St., was arrested at 1813 Leland Ave. at 1:52 a.m. Sunday and charged with assault.

BURGLARY
800 Emerson
Money was stolen from a convenience store in the 800 block of Emerson Street around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE
500 Sheridans
A computer was damaged at a residence in the 500 block of Sheridan Road around 4:22 p.m. Saturday.

700 Hinman
The rear taillight was damaged on a 2017 Honda in the 700 block of Hinman Avenue between 3 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday.

MEDICATIONS
1134 Hartrey
Tristan Malik Nichols-Sanders, 22, of 1134 Hartrey Ave., was arrested at that address at 3:18 a.m. Saturday and charged with manufacturing and/or delivering cannabis.

GRAFFITI
800 Mulford
Graffiti was discovered in a business office in the 800 block of Mulford Street at 10:41 a.m. Friday.

BLOWS HEARD
1300 Brumel
Gunshots were reported in the 1300 block of Brummel Street at 3:48 a.m. Sunday. The police checked the area but found nothing.
The incidents listed are among official reports from the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a presumption of guilt, which can only be determined by a court. Court appearances are held at Cook County 2nd District Court in Skokie.
