When polishing your bike, you first need to make sure that your bike is absolutely spotless. So clean the bike thoroughly first. If you have a glossy finished frame, consider using carnauba wax. It is an extremely strong and durable wax, which means your bike will stay beautiful for a long time. If you have a matte frame, do not use solid wax as this will damage the finish of the frame and make it look matte. Instead, use a thinner liquid wax that will preserve the matte appearance of your frame. When polishing your frame, remove as many parts as possible from your bike, ideally up to the frame and fork. This will allow you to work the wax in any hard-to-reach areas of your bike. Finally, to prevent your frame from scratching, apply helicopter tape to all vulnerable areas of the frame.
