20-year-old cyclist injured in hit-and-run near Lakeview Drive
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (April 25, 2022) – Tuesday evening, Jason D. Shevach was hospitalized after a bicycle collision on Route 154.
At around 7:30 p.m., the driver of a Toyota Scion hit 20-year-old Shevach as he was driving down the shoulder of the road.
Due to the impact, Shevack suffered serious injuries. Medical personnel arrived and transported him to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, the suspect was seen fleeing the scene in a purple Toyota Scion, identified by Constable Keith Rogers.
Part of the roadway has been temporarily closed to allow for cleaning and preliminary work. As of this moment, an active investigation is ongoing.
