Keytesville, MO – 16-year-old girl injured in bicycling accident on MO-5 near UU Road

Keytesville, MO (September 18, 2022) – A reported bicycle accident in Sheraton County has left a teenager with minor injuries. On September 15, around 7:40 p.m., the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a collision that occurred on Missouri State Route 5.

Preliminary reports provided by MSHP Private Hirner show that a 2005 Ford F1 50 pickup truck crashed into the back of a Genesis Shimano bicycle on Missouri State Route five, just south of the UU route.

The cyclist was seriously injured in the accident. The victim, a 16-year-old female from Keytesville, Missouri, was airlifted by Missouri University One to University of Missouri Hospital, where she received emergency treatment.

The circumstances surrounding the road accident are currently under investigation.
