Kia EV6 Electric Launched in India Live Updates: Price, Specs and More

New Delhi: South Korean automaker Kia will launch its first electric vehicle, the Kia EV6 in India on June 2, Thursday. With outstanding features, Kia EV6 will drive the premium electric vehicle to India via the CBU (fully built) route, which will incur heavy import taxes. Kia EV6 specs, prices and variants

The company will announce the price of the Kia EV6 virtually via the company’s official YouTube channel at noon on June 2, 2022. Although nothing has been confirmed, speculation is rife that the car could cost between $60 and 70 lakh.

Kia EV6 will have two variants in GT Line trim – RWD and AWD. The RWD (rear wheel) variant will be cheaper than the AWD (all wheel drive) variant.

While the RWD variant can accelerate the peak power of 229 hp and 350 Nm of torque, the AWD version has a twin-motor configuration with 325 hp of peak power and 605 Nm of peak torque showing a fairly fast acceleration time. 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds.

Whether it’s normal, sport or eco driving, each mode offers a significant change in performance to suit needs, as well as a unique driver interface.

Super fast charging

With 800V super-fast charging capability, the Kia EV6 takes just 18 minutes to charge from 10% to 80%. Fully charged, EV6 offers 3.6kW of power to run multiple devices and outdoors by connecting the vehicle to the charging connector.

Color Options

The Kia EV6 will be available in India with a choice of five exterior colors: Moonscape, Snow White Pearl, Runway Red, Aurora Black Pearl and Yacht Blue.

Kia EV6 Safety

The EV6 gets 8 airbags, including two between the seats, ABS, EBD, traction control and forward collision control which uses radar to detect pedestrians and cyclists and apply the brakes automatically, as well as ISOFIX seat anchorages, blind spot warning and 360 -degree cameras.
