Launch of HOP e-bike in India on September 5th

Upcoming launch of the HOP electric bike in India.

HOP Electric Mobility is preparing for the announcement of the launch of a new product in the Indian market. The company’s next flagship e-bike will launch in the country on September 5. HOP previously opened the limited-time pre-launch reservations window for the new bike which received over 5,000 reservations in July this year. However, reservations have been closed in July until further notice. Hop Electric aims to sell more than 50,000 units of this e-bike in India by 2023, it previously announced.
The company has obtained all sorts of certifications from the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), affiliated with the Ministry of Heavy Industries, including AIS 156 for its e-bike batteries. The electric vehicle maker said the certification demonstrates HOP’s focus on “reliability, performance and safety.”

The OEM further added that it has managed to complete 100,000 km road tests of its upcoming e-bike in 14 Indian states. The e-bike was designed and developed in accordance with FAME-II standards, HOP claims.

The company is yet to release official details on the specs of the bike. Additionally, HOP has not announced the official name of its upcoming product. Expect those details to be revealed with the pricing announcement during the first week of September.
