Peloton expands distribution to Amazon

NEW YORK (BRAIN) — Peloton will expand distribution of its bike, guide, and select accessories and apparel to U.S. Amazon stores. Bike delivery will be available for most in the US

Products and accessories were previously sold exclusively through the brand’s e-commerce sites, internal sales channels and global showroom. Customers can search for Peloton products on Amazon to see if they are available for purchase and delivery in their area.

“Expanding our distribution channels through Amazon is a natural extension of our business and an organic way to increase access to our brand,” said Peloton Chief Commercial Officer Kevin Cornils. “We want to meet consumers where they are, and they buy on Amazon. Providing additional opportunities to expose people to Peloton is a clear next step as we continue to generate excitement for our connected fitness experience. unmatched.”

Customers will have the option of assembling the bikes at home or additional “expert” assembly available mostly in the United States. Home delivery and expert assembly are offered at no additional cost.

Peloton has seen a drop in sales as a result of the pandemic. To cut costs, the company announced in February that it was scrapping plans to expand domestic manufacturing and cut 2,800 jobs worldwide.

Then, in July, Peloton announced that it would cease all manufacturing operations and expand its relationship with Rexon Industrial Corp. from Taiwan. Rexon will become the primary hardware manufacturer for Peloton’s Bike and Tread product lines.
