After claiming their first F1 championship double since 2013, Red Bull Racing will celebrate in the streets of Milton Keynes next month.
Max Verstappen won a record 15 races en route to his second Drivers’ Championship, with teammate Sergio Perez finishing third in the standings to secure the Constructors’ Championship.
It’s the first time the team have won both league titles since Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber won the double in 2013.
To mark the victory, Verstappen will take the all-conquering 2011 RB7 to the streets on Saturday, December 10.
The Oracle Red Bull Racing MK Homerun will take place from noon to 3pm on Midsummer Boulevard in the center of Milton Keynes. Max and Checo will bring the famous roar of the RB7’s V8 engine, as they put Vettel’s championship-winning car to the fierce test on the city center streets.
The excitement won’t stop there though. Along with appearances from the drivers and Team Principal and CEO Christian Horner, fans will be treated to a spectacular display of the power of Red Bull Motorsport. Tire-smoking artists, the Drift Brothers and a rare display from Red Bull NASCAR will take the MK Homerun to another level of driving prowess. While stuntmen, Arunas Gibieža and Dougie Lampkin will also bring the noise in an epic display of skill and showmanship on their bikes.
Horner said: “We are extremely proud to base our technology campus in Milton Keynes. Since we moved into the small factory we started with in 2005, the local community has supported the team through all the ups and downs.
“Oracle Red Bull Racing has experienced massive growth since then and this year’s phenomenal results would not have been possible without that support. It is only fitting that we celebrate this record breaking season with the community we cherish and at heart of the city we are happy to call home.
