Two killed in a bike race, one serious | Rajkot News

RAJKOT: Three youths have been killed and two injured in two different road accidents in Rajkot in the past 24 hours.
According to police, in the first case, the three youngsters tripping on a new bike in Rajkot were part of a group of friends who were racing their bikes from Dhrol. Police sources said the youths were traveling over 100km/h when they failed to negotiate a sharp bend near Paddhari and crashed into the roundabout.
The deceased were identified as Vishal Jadhav (24) and Paresh Sakariya (23), both residents of Rajkot, while seriously injured Karan Makwana (18) was first admitted to hospital civilian from Rajkot, from where he was transferred to a private hospital.
The bike was recently purchased and didn’t even have a license plate. Police have not yet obtained further details as the families are in mourning. Cops have yet to determine ownership of the bike and who was riding it.
The other bikers who were racing with the trio have already reached Ghanteshwar after their friends had an accident but they became incommunicado after the incident. Videos of bike races on Jamnagar road late at night have gone viral on social media.
According to initial reports, Vishal was the only child of his parents whose father is a laborer, while Paresh was the younger of two siblings and his father is a driver.
In the second accident, two underage cousins ​​from Khirasara village traveled to Anandpar village to attend a wedding ceremony. As they were cycling back, an unidentified vehicle rammed Pratik Sagathiya (17) and Aditya Sagathiya (15) near the Devda village of Lodhika taluka on Thursday. Aditya died on the spot while Pratik, seriously injured, is in the civil hospital of Rajkot.
